Here are some codes that work with Neo Nectaris
AS WELL AS the original Nectaris (1989, PC-Engine, HuCard, Japan)
which is included on the CD-ROM as a bonus. If you are looking
for the passwords for all
48 new maps (exclusive to Neo Nectaris) and the 32 classic maps
(from the original Nectaris), they can be found
further down on this
page.
Play as the GUICY
(AXIS) instead of the
UNION (ALLIED) :
On title screen, press and hold SELECT (be sure to keep
the SELECT button pressed for the duration of this code).
Highlight "VS. & PASSWORD" and press "I".
Then select "1P CONTINUE" and press "I". Enter a map name.
Watch the computer fight itself :
On title screen, press and hold SELECT (be sure to keep
the SELECT button pressed for the duration of this code).
Highlight "VS. & PASSWORD" and press "I".
Then select "2P CONTINUE" and press "I". Enter a map name.
Sound Test (for original Nectaris
ONLY) :
Enter "ONGAKU" as a password. You will be able to listen
to all the music and sound effects in the original game.
Not surprisingly, "Ongaku" means "music" in Japanese. This
password does NOT work in NEO NECTARIS, however, be- cause a
"SOUND MODE" is already available as an option in the main
menu. NOTE: Neo Nectaris has at least one or two songs
that are generated by the system itself (the "game
over" and "password entry" music) and not red book
audio tracks. "SOUND MODE" only allows access the
red book tracks, not the PSM tracks.
NOTE ON CODES: None of the codes listed above work for Nectaris
GB (1998,
Gameboy). As far as I can tell, that is.
